How to become happier |
(ENGLISH)
As many people have
experienced, happiness you
gained from life events such
as marriage, a raise and buying a house does not last forever,
but you still want to be happier. Then, how can you be happy?
Fortunately, some researchers
have conducted a number of
experiments on how to become happier. Let me introduce you very briefly the most effective approaches to a happy life found in their studies.
Mental exercises are a key point of access to happiness. The first
approach is “the think-of three-good things exercise”. This is very simple.
Just think of three good things that happened that day every night. By
keep doing this, you focus more on good things and forget daily
disappointments that happened that day. The second approach is pick up
your five personal strengths such as humor, curiosity and love of learning
and apply one or more of your strengths in a new way everyday. By doing
so, you may be get a good way to get engaged in satisfying activities.
The reseachers say the two exercises increased a level of happiness and
reduced depressive symptoms. There are more approaches such as
practicing random acts of kindness, things like holding a door open for a
stranger, doing a roommate’s dishes. The researchers concluded “happiness probably is really about work and striving.” Despite the intensive efforts,
it seems like the effect of happiness will fade with time unless you
continue to work at it. I see! I now understand why many people are not
happy! Thanks for letting me know, all the reseachers who conducted
these experiments!! Now, I'll have to find another ways as well!
